Our new Christopher Amati model is available for testing in our showroom at Frankfurt. This modell has a very typical long middle bout. It’s made of a fine spruce top, flamed maple sides, a flat maple back and fine Rubner wooden tuning pegs. A bass with a big tone and loooong sustain - a killer for jazz!

Bassbalsereit double bass pickups
This high quality pickup consists of a conical brass pin which is 4 cm long and as thick as a pencil, which is mounted to a hole drilled into your bridge. Besides the passive version, which already is very popular among professional players in Germany, two improved active versions has recently been introduced: the AKTIV and the STUDIO version. For these both pickups, a tiny preamp (sized 4 x 6 mm) has been built into the brass cone.

The removable neck
Travelling with the bass is always a challenge. In particular air travels are getting more and more restricted and expensive for double bassists who want to take their instrument aboard.
To make travelling with the bass more easy, Christopher has developped a double bass with removable neck. As the makers of the Eminence bass, Christopher has much experience in making portable basses with removable neck. Due to the steel dovetail joint, the neck is removed and assembled within a few minutes.
